Miles has always been interested in robotics. He comes from the suburbs of a human colony. Due to his family's poverty, Miles could not afford to study in the traditional way. However, he was not short of tools. From a very young age, Miles used to sneak into the dump near his house to collect scrap metal with which he would later make true works of art. Miles grew up learning on his own. 

Thanks to his skill as an engineer, he began to make life easier for the people around him, which at the same time made him raise enough money to move to a city and start working. 

Years later, he would become one of the most renowned engineers in the human colonies, which is why he was included in The Ark project.
